Still Alive
I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel so I hope to start posting here again. I've been running a Malifaux slow grow league, we just started turn 2. I've also picked up some more Troll Bloods I need to paint (actually I want to strip and repaint all my Troll Bloods.)

Essence of Power
So I've painted an Essence of Power to go with my Cult of December models. Here it is in all its blury glory:
Well, I didn't make it
Looks like I didn't make it. The second half of the month got awaful crazy at work with a lot of extra hours. Then Thanksgiving out of town happened. That being said, it did help me get the ball rolling so overall I would say it did its job.

Malifaux Demo
I did a second demoday at our other LGS yesterday. It wasn't as well visited, but I was expecting that a bit. I had one of my Warmachine buddies come by and I showed him the game along with a couple of other wargamers. Also had a guy who plays HeroScape show interest. Not sure if I'll land him (I think the idea of assembling and painting might have spooked him.) but I made sure to let him know how to get in touch with me (I have a sign at both LGS' with my email on it.) because his wife was yelling for him. It will be interesting to see if he joins us.
Overall I think it went pretty well, I know the two gentlemen seemed interested (one already has a crew) and my buddy definately seems interested. In addition I believe one of the employees is interested, he was working but we're going to set up a demo in a week or so.

Infinity Game 2
I played my second game of Infinity last night. The game still seems to be fun, though I think I'm being a little too cautious in the game. I tend to hide behind cover which normally is a good thing, but in this game it allows my opponent to set up fire lanes so he is ready to shoot me when I do make my move. If you ever play Inifinity, learn from my mistakes. Infinity is a game where it seems you have to be a bit more agressive in your opening turns then most other games. Also, height is King. Getting a sniper where they can see over everything makes them killer in the Reactive phase. Make sure your terrain has areas where there is a celing for your miniatures to hide under. One of the owners of The Foundry mentioned that they determined that their 40K terrain didn't work well, and I can see that. The ARO makes a completely different dynamic to the game.

Henchman
You probably noticed that my Seamus and Lady Justice pics have my Malifaux decks in them. This is because they were for my Henchman application. Wyrd Miniatures has a volunteer demo team called Henchmen. I was accepted and so I'm now the henchman for Huntsville, Alabama. I've done one demo day at The Foundry and will be doing another next weekend (November 12th) at HobbyTown USA. I'm also trying to make the Madison Court House nights (as work permits) and I am available by appointment. You can email hsvhenchman@gmail.com if you have any questions or are interested in a demo. I have a full demo kit so all you need is an open mind and some enthusiasim.
